Orientation
to WNRYC Programs
WNRYC believes that an effective orientation on the first day of placement in the residential program must be attended by family, professional representative and/or court representative. Typically, orientation will last 2-3 hours and if done properly can reduce the length of stay in treatment placement by up to 30 days.
Orientation is seen at accomplishing:
Defining the level of current substance abuse
Identify history of substance abuse
Identifying co-existing issues including mental health, delinquency, educational, and medical.
Engaging family members in the treatment process as informed, competent members of the treatment-supervisor team.
At the end of orientation, the initial assessment and treatment goals will be clear to all parties involved.
It should be noted that a formal assessment and treatment goal will be completed within 10 days after orientation.

Basic Sports Physical Results
Typical example includes: medical history includes illnesses and injuries, medical problems that run in your family, any medications, and any additional questions during the exam. Physical exam which includes examination of: height, weight, blood pressure, heart and lungs, abdomen, ears, nose, and throat, eyesight, strength and flexibility.
STD Check Results
Typical examples including pre-counseling, testing for: Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, Genital Herpes, Gonorrhea, Syphilis, and Chlamydia, and post counseling. (Does not include pre-counseling, post-counseling, or testing for HIV. HIV counseling, information, and optional testing provided by WNRYC.)
Tuberculosis (TB) skin test results.
Administering of and reading results for tuberculosis (TB) skin test.
