ENROLLMENT:
Enrollment is limited to
11 families. It is open to ages
12-16 for first or second time offenders and/or those believed to be
participating in high risk behaviors.
ATTENDANCE:
It is mandatory for the
client and one parent/guardian to attend all 5 modules.
The modules can be attended in any order to facilitate open enrollment.
Enrollment is available to all 5 counties, Carson City, Churchill, Douglas,
Lyon and Storey.
5 Modules to be completed:
Thinking Errors, Problem Solving, and Decision Making
Communication skills
with Family and Others
Family Dynamics and
Roles within the Family
Alcohol and Other Drug
Awareness and Addiction Process
Peer Pressure, Refusal
Skills, Peer Groups
The first hour will be
spent discussing the topic in an open forum.
Last half hour will be
spent completing a problem solving paper on the module for the night.
Problem solving papers
will be gone over by WNRYC staff and the originals given back to the family. A copy will be placed in the client’s file to show the
family’s participation.
A certificate of
completion will be given to the family once all 5 modules have been completed.
The Probation
Officer/School Staff will receive a copy of the certificate also.
